Summary0001424: [SWAN] LED adjustment for new 2nd source Led HW
DescriptionHi Mr. Yoon and Wooshin,

As you know, the new SWAN HW uses Awinic Led IC to replace TI LED IC for LED IC shortage issue.
We finished the first step to integrate the LED driver.(Test image is in http://altserver01.iptime.org/release_by_fxn/swan_test_image/20220124_AwinLed_test_image/).
But because the Brightness control is different between TI and Awinic. (TI uses a logarithmic scale dimming curve, Awinic uses a linear scale dimming curve.) So, we did some mapping from logarithmic to linear for Awinic.
We want to know if customer can accept it or it needs to do any further tuning.

I attached the LED test video clips for your reference.
Top SWAN is Awinic LED and Bottom SWAN is TI LED.
All_Led_white_Max_Brightness.jpg: Set R/G/B to max 255 and Brightness to 255.
Blue_degree.mp4: Set B=255 R=G=0, Brightness from 255 to 0 by each step -10.
Green_degree.mp4: Set G=255 R=B=0, Brightness from 255 to 0 by each step -10.
Red_degree.mp4: Set R=255 G=B=0, Brightness from 255 to 0 by each step -10.

But we suggest you to use a TI Led(MP HW) and Awinin Led(Factory will sent samples to you this week) with above test image to compare it. And check with SKB if they can accept it or it needs to do any tuning.

Hi River,

I have checked video file i don't know it is possible to be accepted but I need to check it again using real sample in my side.

Hi Wooshin,

How about your test about the new led? Did you finish the comparison between TI led and Awinic led?

Hi Wooshin,

Please note, the image on above Description is only has new Awinic led driver and no new Power IC driver (Since we did not get Power IC driver at that time).
I think you should use the latest image in mantis1431 http://altserver01.iptime.org/release_by_fxn/swan_test_image/20220211_2nd_Source_HW_PMIC_AwinLED/ .
It support both Awinic Led and new Power IC driver. And also compatible both new and old SWAN HW.

Hi Wooshin,

I heard that you compared the color/brightness between TI and Awinic LED and the result looks like ok.
Since there is no extra work to do for SW to adjust LED, I close this issue.
If you still have any requirement for LED adjustment, you can reopen this mantis.
